About the Opportunity
Evergreen Talent Group is partnering with a leading contractor to appoint an experienced QA/QC Lead with a Mechanical bias for a major Pharmaceutical project in Tralee.

This is a senior quality role with responsibility for leading mechanical QA/QC activities across the project, ensuring all installations, inspections, documentation and turnover requirements are completed in line with project specifications, client standards and applicable regulatory requirements.

Key Tasks of the QAQC Lead

• Review and manage mechanical ITPs, inspection records and quality documentation.

• Conduct inspections of HVAC, pipework, ductwork, mechanical plant and associated services.

• Monitor weld quality, material traceability and installation standards where applicable.

• Manage NCRs, observations and corrective actions through to closure.

• Coordinate punch-list and snagging activities.

• Review subcontractor quality packs and supporting certification.

• Support pressure testing, flushing, balancing and commissioning readiness.

• Maintain quality registers, inspection trackers and turnover documentation.

• Support client and consultant inspections and witnessing activities.

• Coordinate compilation of handover dossiers, O&M documentation and final quality records.

• Attend quality, coordination and progress meetings.

• Provide guidance and support to QA/QC Engineers and project teams.

Key Responsibilities of the QAQC Lead

• Lead mechanical QA/QC activities across the project.

• Ensure mechanical installations comply with approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.

• Coordinate closely with construction, engineering, commissioning and client quality teams.

• Manage Inspection and Test Plans, quality inspections and associated documentation.

• Oversee subcontractor quality performance and ensure corrective actions are closed out.

• Support system completion, turnover and handover activities.

• Drive a strong quality culture across project teams and subcontractors.

• Maintain clear reporting on quality performance, risks and outstanding actions.

Experience & Requirements of the QAQC Lead

• Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management or a related discipline.

• Strong experience in a QA/QC role on large-scale mechanical or M&E projects.

• Previous Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences experience highly desirable.

• Strong understanding of HVAC, mechanical services, pipework and associated installations.

• Experience with ITPs, NCRs, inspections, turnover packs and quality systems.

• Knowledge of GMP or regulated project environments advantageous.

• Strong attention to detail and documentation standards.

• Excellent communication, reporting and stakeholder-management skills.

• Proven ability to lead quality activities across subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams.
