About the Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced CSA Project Director to join a leading Tier 1 Contractor delivering a major hyperscale Data Centre development in Amsterdam.

This is a senior project leadership position with overall responsibility for the CSA delivery of a large-scale, technically complex Data Centre, leading the project from preconstruction and design coordination through construction, commissioning support and final handover.

The successful candidate will provide strategic and operational leadership across the project, managing senior construction, engineering, commercial and supply-chain teams while maintaining responsibility for programme, cost, quality, safety and client satisfaction.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a highly experienced construction leader capable of taking full ownership of a major CSA delivery programme.

You should be comfortable operating at both strategic and operational level — engaging with client executives and senior business leadership while maintaining a detailed understanding of programme, construction methodology, subcontractor performance and project risk.

This position requires someone who can lead through senior managers, make decisive project-level decisions and create the structure and accountability required to deliver a complex hyperscale facility safely, commercially and on programme.

Key Responsibilities of the CSA Project Director

• Provide overall leadership for the CSA delivery of a hyperscale Data Centre project, taking accountability for project performance from preconstruction through handover.

• Lead senior project teams across Civil, Structural and Architectural packages, ensuring clear ownership, accountability and effective communication.

• Develop and maintain the overall project execution strategy, ensuring alignment between design, procurement, construction, commercial and commissioning requirements.

• Work closely with the M&E leadership team to manage critical CSA/M&E interfaces and ensure coordinated delivery of the facility.

• Maintain executive oversight of the master construction programme, key milestones, critical path, sequencing and recovery strategies.

• Lead project-level engagement with the client, consultants, design teams, subcontractors and key stakeholders.

• Drive early identification and resolution of design, constructability, logistics, temporary works and programme risks.

• Oversee the procurement and performance of major CSA subcontractors and supply-chain partners.

• Work closely with Commercial Management to maintain strong control of cost, change, risk, subcontractor performance and project profitability.

• Ensure the highest standards of EHS, quality and construction excellence are maintained throughout delivery.

• Drive project performance through structured reporting, KPI reviews, programme reviews and senior management meetings.

• Lead the transition from construction through system completion, commissioning interfaces, snagging, as-built documentation and final handover.

• Build and develop a high-performing project team while establishing a culture of accountability, collaboration and delivery.

Experience Required of the CSA Project Director

• Significant experience at Project Director, Construction Director, Senior Project Manager or equivalent senior project leadership level.

• Strong CSA construction background with extensive experience across major technically complex projects.

• Previous Data Centre experience is highly desirable, particularly hyperscale or large-scale mission-critical developments.

• Demonstrable experience delivering projects for a Tier 1 Main Contractor / General Contractor.

• Strong understanding of civil works, structural frame, building envelope, roofing, architectural finishes, fit-out and associated CSA packages.

• Excellent understanding of design management, procurement, construction sequencing, temporary works and subcontractor management.

• Strong appreciation of M&E services and CSA/MEP interfaces within mission-critical environments.

• Proven ability to manage large multidisciplinary project teams and multiple major subcontract packages.

• Commercially astute with a strong understanding of cost control, change management, contractual risk and project forecasting.

• Strong client-facing and stakeholder-management capability.

• Experience delivering major projects within the Netherlands or wider European market would be advantageous.
